The Study

Walk the Waves is a four-piece pop band which gradually came together in the recording studios of The Los Angeles Recording School, where they started off as four individuals from different parts of the world, slowly building a relationship to find common ground in the art of music production.

The band consists of Davison Ancheril (Vocals), Daniel Ancheril (Drummer), Jazley Chua (Keyboardist) and Marco Flores (Bassist/Guitarist). Daniel and his younger brother Davison grew up in India and dropped out of the college programs they were formerly in to pursue a career in music. They enrolled in the music production program at LARS, where they met bandmate Jazley, originally from Malaysia, who was a student in the same program. Marco, originally from Mexico, is also their batchmate in this program.

Walk the Waves is an example of the many independent artists currently popping up and taking over the music world by storm. They are independent artists in the way they write, record and produce their own songs. The band draws inspiration from artists such as The1975, LANY. Their song writing process starts with Daniel producing catchy tunes and hook lines which are later developed with the rest of the band. The recording process then begins with Jazley taking on the role of Recording Engineer and Mixing Engineer.

The band’s goal is to go on tour by the end of this year and produce their very first EP. “Stay” was their previous release. This particular song is special to the group, especially the two brothers, as it was written for their grandmother. On October 10th, they followed up with the release of “Closer”.
